36 Days Of Animated Type

36 Days of Type is an annual project that invites designers from across the globe to express their view on the letters and numbers of our Alphabet. Participants are challenged to design a letter or number each day for 36 days.

For this edition, I approached the project through animation. The primary goal being to try a some new things and to streamline my animation process on a quick turn-around. Perhaps naively, I imposed no rules or limitations upon myself. This allowed for endless possibilities on style and caused somewhat of a nightmare for ideation. Certainly, it made the project more challenging. However, this also presented the opportunity for a bit of spontaneity and even some humor. Overall, the project was a great opportunity to meet some like-minded folks and focus on producing some interesting work.
